Scott Keller is the founder of Bird Watching HQ, and he’s used Interact quizzes to grow his email list by over 100,000 engaged subscribers. The incredible thing about Scott’s email list growth from his quizzes is that his quizzes are not short, so when someone completes one of his quizzes, you know they are truly interested in his content. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott’s quizzes are bird identification quizzes. They are super fun and educational at the same time. He’s got 5 core quizzes, and one flagship quiz that’s the most popular (a trend we see a lot, where people have multiple quizzes but one of them really takes off). The quiz that has really taken off is the common backyard birds quiz<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The quiz has 30 questions, which are both engaging and qualifying, meaning that they keep you locked in if you’re taking the quiz, because you want to see if you can get the answers right. But they’re also qualifying, because if you answer 30 questions about bird identification, you are interested in birding, not just a casual. At the end of the quiz, the opt-in form comes up to ask if you’d like to join the email list for Bird Watching HQ. It’s optional, with a clear “skip this step” option, which is super helpful for email list health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the quiz you see your results, this is a trivia-type quiz<\/a>, so you can see which answers you got correct and incorrect throughout the 30 questions. Scott also does something smart here by linking to his own blog post with further context on the correct answers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
